SMS Terms

These SMS Terms govern The Snack Edit's optional SMS program. The Snack Edit operates one SMS program with two separate, context-specific enrollment paths. The message categories you receive depend on which enrollment method you affirmatively selected. By opting in through either path, you agree to these SMS Terms.

1. Message categories

The Snack Edit does not send SMS messages containing discounts, coupons, promotions, advertising, product marketing, abandoned-cart messages, cross-sell, or upsell content. The program is limited to the operational categories below.

A. Delivery availability and service-area updates. For users who opt in through the delivery-interest form after checking an unsupported ZIP code, The Snack Edit may send:

delivery availability for the ZIP code you submitted
related service-area updates

B. Customer order and service messages. For customers who separately opt in through the checkout or customer-order consent flow, The Snack Edit may send:

order confirmations and order status updates
shipping and delivery updates
operational subscription notifications, when applicable
post-delivery feedback requests about an order or customer experience

Opting into the delivery-interest form does not automatically enroll you in customer order and service messages. Placing an order alone does not constitute SMS consent. A separate affirmative SMS opt-in is required for customer order and service messages, and SMS consent is not a condition of purchase.

2. Consent and enrollment

You are enrolled in an SMS category only when you provide a valid mobile phone number and affirmatively check the separate SMS consent checkbox for that specific enrollment path. Checkboxes are not preselected. SMS consent is optional. Email consent and SMS consent are handled separately, and opting in to one does not opt you in to the other. Your consent applies only to the message categories described next to the checkbox you used. You may purchase from The Snack Edit without agreeing to receive SMS messages.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your selected program, account activity, orders, deliveries, and interactions with The Snack Edit.

4. Charges

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier regarding your messaging plan.

5. Opting out

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from the program. Replying STOP will opt you out of all SMS message categories sent by The Snack Edit to that mobile number, including delivery-availability updates and customer order and service messages. One final opt-out confirmation message may be sent. Opting out of SMS does not automatically unsubscribe you from email; email preferences are managed separately.

7. Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier availability and network conditions and cannot be guaranteed at all times.

8. Privacy

Our handling of the information you provide is described in our Privacy Policy.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information may be provided to messaging, commerce, fulfillment, or technology service providers only as necessary to operate the program, send the messages you authorized, process orders, support deliveries, and maintain the service, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

9. Eligibility and responsibility

You must be authorized to use the mobile number you provide and to receive text messages at that number. Please notify us at hello@thesnackedit.com if your mobile number changes or is reassigned so we can update or remove it from the program.

10. Changes or termination

The Snack Edit may modify or discontinue the SMS program at any time. We will update these SMS Terms when appropriate, and the current version will always be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
