The Snack Edit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026

The Snack Edit is a local storefront offering curated school-snack boxes to selected ZIP codes in South Florida. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through thesnackedit.com, how we use it, and how to contact us. The terms of our optional SMS program are described in our SMS Terms.

1. Information we collect

When you use the site, we may collect:

  • ZIP codes entered into the delivery checker
  • Contact details you submit through the delivery-interest form, which may include first name, email address, an optional mobile phone number, ZIP code, household details you choose to share, and your email or SMS contact preferences
  • Basic technical information such as device, browser, and timestamp tied to ZIP-checker activity

If you affirmatively opt in to SMS, we collect or may collect, as applicable, information related to that SMS enrollment and messaging activity, including:

  • the mobile phone number you provide
  • your SMS consent status
  • the date and time of your consent
  • the source of your consent, where applicable (for example, the delivery-interest form or a future checkout or customer-order consent flow)
  • the ZIP code associated with the consent, or an associated order where applicable
  • message delivery status information returned by messaging providers, where applicable
  • opt-out status, including STOP requests, where applicable

When you place a One-Time Box order or start a Weekly subscription, your order, account, and payment details are collected and processed by our checkout and subscription provider, Subbly, and its payment providers. The Snack Edit storefront does not store your full payment card details.

2. How we use information

We use the information to:

  • Show whether your ZIP code is currently in our delivery area
  • Respond to delivery-interest requests from ZIP codes we do not yet serve
  • Plan and operate local delivery
  • Communicate about your order, subscription, or inquiry
  • Send the SMS messages you affirmatively authorized, limited to the categories described next to the checkbox you selected
  • Understand overall demand across ZIP codes to guide where we deliver
  • Maintain the security and technical operation of the site

3. Email communications

Transactional messages related to your One-Time Box order or Weekly subscription (such as order confirmations and subscription updates) are sent by email through Subbly.

If you submit the delivery-interest form and opt in to email updates, we may also send occasional email messages about service availability in your area. Email consent and SMS consent are handled separately, and opting in to one does not opt you in to the other. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such message.

4. SMS communications

The Snack Edit operates one optional SMS program with two separate, context-specific enrollment paths. Each path requires its own affirmative SMS opt-in. Checkboxes are not preselected, SMS consent is optional, and SMS consent is not a condition of purchase. Placing an order alone does not constitute SMS consent. Opting in through the delivery-interest form does not authorize customer order and service messages, and your consent applies only to the categories described next to the checkbox you selected.

Depending on the path you enrolled through, you may receive:

  • Delivery availability and service-area updates, if you opt in through the delivery-interest form after checking an unsupported ZIP code — including delivery availability for the ZIP code you submitted and related service-area updates.
  • Customer order and service messages, if you separately opt in through a checkout or customer-order consent flow — including order confirmations and order status updates, shipping and delivery updates, operational subscription notifications when applicable, and post-delivery feedback requests about an order or customer experience.

The SMS program does not include discounts, coupons, promotions, advertising, product marketing, abandoned-cart messages, cross-sell, or upsell content. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, and message delivery may depend on your wireless carrier and network conditions. Reply STOP to withdraw SMS consent for messages sent to that mobile number, and reply HELP for assistance. The full terms of the SMS program are described in our SMS Terms.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information and other personal information may be disclosed only to messaging, commerce, fulfillment, delivery, hosting, analytics, security, or technology service providers as necessary to operate the services, send the messages you authorized, process orders, support shipping and delivery, and maintain security and technical operations. These providers may use the information only to perform services for The Snack Edit and are not permitted to use it for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requests; protect the rights, property, security, or safety of The Snack Edit, our customers, or others; or investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

These circumstances do not permit mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data to be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use a small amount of first-party analytics to understand which ZIP codes are checked and how the site is used. We do not currently run third-party advertising or remarketing pixels on this site. If that changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those tools go live.

7. Data security

We use reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, but no online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Children's privacy

The Snack Edit is intended for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

9. Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such message. You can withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to any message from the program; opting out of SMS does not automatically unsubscribe you from email, since email preferences are managed separately. Please notify us at hello@thesnackedit.com if your mobile number changes or is reassigned so we can update or remove it from the program. You may also contact us at hello@thesnackedit.com regarding your privacy choices or to ask about the information we hold about you.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
